Initial Visit
We are grateful that you have chosen Pelchat Chiropractic Center, and we are excited to welcome you to our office. We have made it easy for you to fill out your paperwork online. If you cannot complete your paperwork in advance, you may do so at the office. You will meet with Dr. Pelchat to discuss your health-related concerns and receive an examination during your initial visit. Then, if appropriate, Dr. Pelchat will order diagnostic studies such as x-rays or MRIs. Once he has an excellent clinical picture of your particular problem, he will treat your complaints.
Typically, you will receive treatment during your first visit to our office. This treatment may consist of spinal manipulation, a very gentle realignment of the spinal bones that is painless and relaxing to most. Dr. Pelchat can deliver spinal manipulation in several different ways to fit your condition’s needs or concerns. Physical therapy modalities are designed to reduce inflammation and speed the healing process. Along with spinal manipulation, you may also receive physical therapy modalities such as electrical stimulation, heat, ice, laser treatment, traction, or spinal decompression. Dr. Pelchat may also recommend physical rehabilitation exercises to strengthen weak areas discovered during the examination or treatment. Massage therapy is available in our office and may also be included in your treatment plan.
After treatment is completed, patients will typically be given instructions on activities they should avoid or things they can do at home to help speed the healing process for their complaints. Upon departure, you will be scheduled for another appointment if necessary. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule and our availability. Subsequent chiropractic visits will typically last about 15-30 minutes, depending on which services you receive.
Insurance
Most insurance companies cover chiropractic care. In addition, worker’s compensation and Personal Injury (automobile) insurance will provide coverage for chiropractic care. Our office will file your insurance as a courtesy to you. However, if you do not have insurance, we have affordable cash rates for all the services we provide. We will be happy to go over these plans with you at the time of your visit.
